Nearly half the country are under 15 and too young to remember directly, but they are surrounded by the fall-out of genocide’s toxic legacy,” says Dr James Smith, Chief Executive of the Aegis Trust.
“The future is in their hands. It’s up to them to eliminate ideas that foster fear and hatred. By supporting peace education today, we can put tools in the hands of these young people to help prevent a return to mass violence in the future.”
